What is Cloud4Commodities?

Cloud4Commodities is a business solution to serve small and medium sized commodity & trade companies for managing trade, finance, risk and logistic processes.

Our solution contains a 360◦ Customer overview and is fully built up in the cloud and based on the latest Microsoft AZURE and Dynamics365 cloud technology available. One of our key drivers is that we will be able to deliver fast and affordable implementations which have the capabilities to scale up once the business is growing.

Our goal is to implement our solution with a minimum set of functionalities (Minimal Viable Product – MVP) at low costs and within a 3-month period. We are successful in this by using SaaS, predefined templates and preconfigured (PowerBI) dashboards with a Data Warehouse which minimize effort and maximize efficiency.

Processing weight differences, re-routing of transports, trans-shipments, and follow up transports are all part of the standard solution. The commodities can be moved palletized, containerized, in bulk or in any other way

Next to the direct deliveries from supplier directly to the customer, the product can also be moved to inventory. Stock locations can be registered as sites containing multiple warehouses in which the product is stored. Every delivery can be registered under a separate batch number to have full traceability throughout the delivery chain. Samples can be taken for analysis to ensure that the delivered product has the correct specifications. Automated transports between legal entities streamline the intercompany process and diminish user errors.

Cloud4Commodities contains a full-blown finance system to support all trade processes from the financial side. For example, posting a sales invoice will automatically print the document, deduct inventory, and post the revenue. Next to the trade postings other financial functionalities are available including a Chart of accounts, Journals, Intercompany transactions, Expense management, VAT module with declarations, and Fixed assets. Standard finance reports are available out of the box and can be modified if needed.
